Extension Activities


To foster a spirit of camaraderie and love for humanity in general and rural folk in particular, facilities are provided to willing students with a desire for social service, to put in their best, for lessening the sufferings of the sick, and the downtrodden.
The NSS unit works under the able guidance of well trained senior staff member who guide them properly and chalk out programme for Voluntary Social Service. There is an advisory committee of NSS to facilitate its working. The college Principal is the chairman of the committee. The College has one unit of NSS, consisting of 100 volunteers under the dynamic leadership of NSS Programme Officer of the college. The students have to apply on a prescribed form for seeking admission to NSS unit. Students enrolled as NSS volunteers are required to put in at least 120 hours of social work and attend one camp of 10 days duration to become eligible to receive certificate.
Besides the regular activities students are provided no. of opportunities to attend Special Camps, Seminars, Workshops and other programmes at State, National and international levels. Number of Incentives are given to the outstanding NSS Volunteers.
